Compare the scope before the total
Enter the totals from up to three written installer quotes, then record what each quote explicitly includes. An unticked item means “not confirmed in this quote”, rather than proof that the installer has omitted it.
Use the output to ask for written clarification. A lower total may cover less groundworks, fewer remotes or a different door specification. The tool does not choose a winner or assess the competence of an installer.
Questions to take back to the installer
- Which exact door or gate, finish and motor are included?
- Who handles removal, disposal, making good and any electrical work?
- For powered equipment, what risk assessment, safety measures, handover documents and maintenance arrangements are included?
- What does the warranty cover, who provides it, and what servicing is required?
- What could change after the survey, and how will extra work be agreed?
